The
Marand is a prominent medallion design with corners, which is woven by hand from
semi-worsted 100% wool. The ground colour is ivory and the border navy. Other
colours are red, green, medium blue, and gold. This 50:50 quality carpet has
250,000 knots per sq metre and a carpet of 330 x 240cm contains almost 2
million knots, woven by 4 skilled weavers in about 140 days.
