Matka means 'pot' in Hindi. The design is derived from the motifs in the border. This is a very popular design as it can be made in a number of colourways and the design is uncomplicated. The rug is made up in 45 count multi-coloured hand spun Indian wool. The quality is 30:30 with 90,000 knots per square metre. The rug is finished by being antique washed. |
